My name is Samir Aoufia, I am 22 years old and I live in Gosselies, Belgium. I have dual Algerian and Belgian nationality. I speak 2 languages French which is my native language and English.
I'm currently in my last year of industrial computing at HelHa "Haute Ecole de Louvain en Hainaut" in Charleroi, and I'm enrolled in a bridging program for my master in computer science at UMons, also in Charleroi. I work as a student employee at the Smart Gastronomy Lab, Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, ULiège.
I grew up in Gosselies, an environment that gave me priceless life lessons.
This experiences have contributed in a valuable and unique way to my educational path.
This has given me the ability to take advantage of every situation to build a solid and inspiring career path.
When I was a kid I always loved a challenge, so when I had to choose a career, I looked for a field that would allow me to take on new challenges every day. That's why I chose IT.
My bachelor's degree in industrial IT provided me solid foundations in software development, system administration, automation and IoT.
The projects I carried out during my studies, which combined theory and practice, have strengthened my ability to solve problems in real-world scenarios.
For now, my current goal is to get my bachelor's degree. This is the first step in my career as a computer scientist. After achieving it, my next objective will be getting a master's degree in computer science to deepen my knowledge and skills in IT, which will lead to many new opportunities in this sector.
Once I have completed my master's degree, I would like to get a challenging job. In a professional environment that offers both stability and diversity, I would be able to continue developing my IT skills, together with facing challenges. The idea of being constantly challenging and able to surpass myself is essential for me to maintain my passion and motivation at work.

I initially wanted to do a master's degree in computer science. However, as I had difficulties in secondary school, I was afraid of not being able to keep up. So, I chose to start with a 3-year bachelor's degree and obtain at least 1 diploma and maybe continue studying afterward. In this way, I chose industrial computing field study because it really interested me.
